Ayia Napa
Ayia Napa is a lovely area, although named as clubbers paradise by the press this village has many qualities to offer families, couples and older clienteles. In winter many of the clubs change combine English music with Greek music giving anyone the opportunity to learn more and more about the culture and the dancing... which is similar to English. In addition, there are beautiful harbor areas with many coffee shops and restaurants along with many shops to keep you busy. Plus there are beautiful sandy beaches all the way along to explore. Of a night time there are many restaurants for romantic evening or a family night out and the food is international as well as Greek cuisine. A must try is 'Los Bandidos' a Mexican restaurant... arrreeebaaa in to the night with great food and settings as well...Plus there is a variety of bars and clubs with a mixture of music and there is something for everyone... from rock, pop and Elvis...
Protaras
Protaras is another large attraction purely due to the stretches of golden beaches with beautifully clear turquoise waters. One of the most famous beaches is ‘Fig tree bay’ the home not only to fig trees but to an island in the sea which is swimming distance away from the shore. Protaras is a family resort full with restaurants and bars, shops and entertainment to keep everyone entertained throughout the holiday. For the kids there are arcades, bowling and Flinstones pub is great for children of all ages… a yiaba daba dooo the night away! Don’t forget Karaoke a great holiday moment, Zodiac is great for a family karaoke bar… Plus there are many other activities in close proximity such as the Water Park, aquarium and cinema.
Pernera and Kapparis
Pernera and Kapparis are two smaller areas on the outskirts of Protaras, both with many advantages of their own offering a wide selection of bars and restaurants to cater for all needs. Both have lovely beaches as well and make for ideal family resorts as they are more quiet.
Paralimni
Paralimni isa quaint village situated between Protaras and Kapparis areas. Paralimni village is more of a residential town, with plenty of shops, bars and restaurants; banks, cafes, large stores and traditional shops.
Troodos mountains
If you are feeling adventurous… Troodos mountains is a lovely area, in winter it is great for skiing but in summer there are lovely villages with a uniqueness of their own, ‘Para Pethia’ in English means the small children… a great wine tasting village and the wine is great prices… or you could always try ‘Lefkara’ the lace village…
